Time/space limits can be transcended in several ways: 

Longer life, immortality (but the lifetime of the universe is a limit).
Quantum acceleration - many simulations could occur in parallel.
Space compression - continuous space may be infinitely compressible reducing space limits.
Time travel - historical simulation becomes trivial (eg by copying a large region of space and slowing time).
