The Joe Schmo Show (imdb entry) AKA "Lap of Luxury" was a "reality" show in which several contestants shared a luxurious mansion and participated in competitions and group votes to determine who should be removed from the group. The last man standing or winner was to win some super prize. The competitions and votes created an interesting group dynamic with a simulism related twist:

All of the contestants were actors except one guy! They set up a total simulated reality for one guy and he totally fell for it. Which makes one think, we only have the history handed down to us to define our reality. That history, historically belonging to the victors, now goes through daily rewrites but none-the-less is defined by a subset of the population.
