Creationism

From Simulism

Many religions are based on 'creationism'. Wikipedia has this description of creationism:

"In many traditions, creationism is the theory that espouses active acceptance of an origin belief that humanity, life, the Earth, or the universe as a whole was specially created by a supreme being or by supernatural intervention."

'Supernatural' is a term commonly used to refer to a god, but if we take the word literally, it just means 'a being outside of our current nature'. As such, someone creating a simulation might literally be considered 'supernatural' to the inhabitants of the simulation. (Such a being would also not be bound by the rules of the simulation and could be attributed supernatural powers.)

Viewed from within a simulation, one might say that Simulism is a form of Creationism, too, in the sense that if we are indeed living in a simulation, then it would seem that someone must have created it. In this sense, Simulism would be in line with most major religions.

Viewed from outside of the simulation, though, we would plausibly find ourselves in exactly the position we are in now--that is, lacking sufficient information to judge.
